Introducing EcoSoft®: a distinctive, eco-friendly cushion backing for carpet tiles that combines high performance with environmental responsibility. By repurposing millions of single-use PET water bottles, EcoSoft® transforms waste into a valuable resource. Crafted from solution-dyed nylon PET felt, this modular carpet tile has earned recognition from the International Living Future Institute (ILFI) through their DECLARE Label award program. It proudly holds the RED LIST FREE designation, indicating the absence of harmful substances.
This accomplishment underscores Carpets Inter’s unwavering dedication to material transparency, ensuring safety and hygiene in occupied spaces. Moreover, it aligns with our pursuit of carbon neutrality as we aim for Well Building Certification. With EcoSoft®, we not only enhance indoor environments but also contribute positively to sustainability efforts.
EcoSoft® is made from 80% post-consumer discarded water bottles, plus 5% post-industrial recycled PET. The environmentally friendly backing not only meets all stringent performance criteria required for a heavy wear commercial location, but consistently outperforms conventional PVC and bitumen hard backing, as well as all polyurethane cushion backings, in terms of dimensional stability, durability, comfort, sound absorption, thermal barrier, hygiene, and indoor air quality.
